Well despite a season low 5^th in the last race Rene’s previous 5 wins (including the team race) left him with a perfect average of 20 points to win the 2005 Ninco Le Mans Championship with his Scuderia Red Bull. Congratulations to Rene on his 20^th Championship out of 27 possible in the last 3 years!

Right behind him with his BMW V12 coming on strong in the second half of the year was Dennis with two 1^sts and a five 2^nds.  Michael Smalley took the final podium with his Saleen (McLaren) with a win, a 2^nd, three 3^rds two 4^ths and a 5^th.  Stephen was 4^th in his Scuderia Jagermeister McLaren with a 2^nd, five 3^rds, a 6^th and an 8^th.  In fifth was Bill Polakow backing up a win in the team race with a 4^th, a 6^th and a 8^th with his Ferrari F50.  Tied for 6^th was Mike Pawl and Stan Smith ahead of Thomas in 8^th, Bob B in 9^th and Daniel just pipping Eric for 10^th place with his 3^rd place performance in the last race of the season.
