For the fourth straight year, Michael Smalley is the OTHG Overall Championship winner. Terry De Los Santos completes the 2009 season in second. Daniel Snipes is third. Webmaster and your author, Craig Williamson finishes fourth for the third year running. Thomas Lauffenberger is fifth, just squeezing by Eddie Shorer in sixth. JR Ewing takes seventh moving Bob Beck down to eighth. Chris Chan and Nigel Rick complete the top ten.

In a new club first, Michael won every championship this year except for the Team Championship. He finished with a perfect adjusted score of 20 points, which he was also able to do in 2007.

With some impressive and consistent driving, Christophe Deluy is the 2009 Rookie of the Year.

Thirty-eight different drivers competed in the 2009 Championship series making for another great year. Join us next year as the club begins its eighth season. Thank you and congratulations to Stephen Farr-Jones, our founder, for creating and overseeing such a successful club.

Two races remain to be decided at Bruce's Circuit Villeneuve in the final race meeting of 2009 next Saturday, Dec 5.

Show Scores
11/7/2009
With just three races remaining in the 2009 OTHG Overall Championship there are still a number of tight battles looming. Eddie Shorer continues his assault on Thomas Lauffenberger's position in fifth, gaining 0.85 points, but still unable to complete the pass. Eight through twelfth are separated by just 0.81 points with Chris Chan, JR Ewing, Nigel Rick, Stan Smith and Gary Woods all in the fray.

Next up is a Slot.it team race at Stephen's Farrout Raceway.

10/24/2009
JR Ewing rises to ninth place in the 2009 OTHG Overall Championship. Eddie Shorer completes his 27 races with a win, and Thomas and I should probably be concerned. Michael Smalley makes it a perfect season with 27 wins and a modified average score of 20 points. The top ten are: Michael Smalley, Terry De Los Santos, Daniel Snipes, myself, Thomas Lauffenberger, Eddie Shorer, Bob Beck, Chris Chan, JR Ewing and Nigel Rick. There are four individual races and one team race yet to be run in 2009.

10/17/2009
Few changes here. Christophe DeLuy moves up one spot. Mike Pawl completes 27 races and can begin dropping races. Michael Smalley, Terry De Los Santos and Daniel Snipes are your top three. Craig Williamson, Thomas Lauffenberger and Eddie Shorer fill the top six. Bob Beck, Chris Chan, Nigel Rick and Stan Smith complete the top ten. Twelfth through eight are separated by less than a point. Seven races remain in four race meetings.

10/3/2009
Christophe Deluy moves from 20th to 15th in the 2009 OTHG Overall Championship. All fourteen places above him remain static from the last tally. Michael Smalley stretches his lead over Terry De Los Santos and Daniel Snipes. Craig Williamson firms his position in fourth, but has little hope of catching Daniel in third. Thomas Lauffenberger, in fifth, inches away from Eddie Shorer in sixth. Only nine races remain in the 2009 season.

9/19/2009
Gary Woods moves ahead of Stephen Farr-Jones for twelfth place in the 2009 On the Hill Gang Overall Championship. Terry De Los Santos opens his lead over Daniel Snipes for second. I do the same in fourth, pulling further away from Thomas. Eddie Shorer may need more than his 27 race minimum to begin attacking Thomas' position in earnest, but he seems to be staging. Tom Giese jumps in with a raw rank of five; humbling many of us I'm sure. Michael Smalley is your overall leader continuing his charge to a perfect score of 27 wins. Eleven races remain.

9/5/2009
The top three spots in the 2009 OTHG Overall Championship remain the exclusive territory of Michael Smalley, Terry De Los Santos and Daniel Snipes. That is not likely to change this season. Below those three we see a close battle amongst some of the most seasoned veterans in the club, with a seasoned rookie and fourth-year journeyman thrown in. Fourth through tenth covers a lot of talent in Craig Williamson, Thomas Lauffenberger, Eddie Shorer, Bob Beck, Chris Chan, Nigel Rick and Stan Smith.

8/15/2009
The top eight positions in the OTHG Overall Championship remain unchanged. Below that we see some swapping between Nigel Rick, now ninth, Stan Smith, tenth, JR Ewing, eleventh, and Stephen Farr-Jones, twelfth.

Note that Terry De Los Santos, in second, leads over Daniel Snipes, in third, by just 15/100 of a point, and that at the prior tally they were just 5/100ths apart.

Thirty-six drivers have now competed in the 2009 OTHG Championship. Congratulation to every one of you for coming out to race.

8/1/2009
With fifteen races yet to run in OTHG 2009 Overall Championship, Michael Smalley continues his rout of the field. Holding 20 wins for his best of 20 and a computed average of fifth for his remaining seven scored races, Michael is unstoppable. Daniel Snipes and Terry De Los Santos continue to scrap it out for second with Terry now leading. From there you have to look all the way down to 12th place to find a change in Nigel Rick moving ahead of Gary Woods. Thomas Lauffenberger, in fifth, is first to complete 27 races and can begin dropping races from his overall score, possibly threatening my position in fourth. Many other battles are close. See Chris Chan v. Eddie Shorer; 21st century style, below.

Craig Williamson is moved to fourth, Chris Chan to fifth and Thomas Lauffenberger to sixth. Eddie Shorer is now in seventh. Thirty racers have run with us this year. JR Ewing swaps places with Gary Woods for sixth, leaving Gary with seventh. Eighth through tenth are Eddie Shorer, Daniel Snipes and Stephen Farr-Jones.

5/3/2009
Adjusted scoring takes hold and rearranges the standings. Michael Smalley leads Terry De Los Santos and Craig Williamson as your top three. Chris Chan, Thomas Lauffenberger and Gary Woods hold four, five, and six. JR Ewing, Daniel Snipes, Eddie Shorer and Stephen Farr-Jones fill the top ten. Bob Beck and Daniel are likely to work themselves back up into the top five with a few more race finishes. Eddie Shorer, who has been doing very well recently, may show to be a top-five driver too.

4/19/2009
Thomas Lauffenberger swaps one place up with Stan Smith for ninth and tenth. Nigel Rick rises five places to 12th. The top eight hold steady.

4/5/2009
The latest round of two championship races produced no changes to the top ten positions in the 2009 OTHG Overall Championship allowing the participating leaders to solidify their current points positions.

3/21/2009
With eleven races run the top five drivers in the OTHG Overall Championship remain Michael Smalley, Terry De Los Santos, Chris Radisich, Daniel Snipes and Bob Scott. Chris Chan is now sixth, breaking his tie with Bob Beck for that spot. Seventh through fourteenth is a tight affair with just over 2.2 points separating eight drivers.

3/7/2009
In the OTHG Overall Championship Terry De Los Santos moves into second, displacing Chris Radisich. Bob Beck moves into a tie with Chris Chan for sixth. All other top-six positions remain unchanged.

2/21/2009
Michael Smalley's perfect score is dashed with a third place finish in the recent team race, but he remains your leader in the 2009 OTHG Overall Championship. Terry De Los Santos displaces Daniel Snipes for third. Others shuffle around a bit and Ed Beer rises five places with one of his best drives yet. The fun is just beginning.

2/7/2009
Six races are complete in the 2009 OTHG Championship and we find a huge amount of racing experience filling the top-six. Michael Smalley leads with a perfect score of 120 points. Based on average finish, Chris Radisich is second, Daniel Snipes third, Terry De Los Santos fourth, Bob Scott fifth and Chris Chan sixth. Notably we see Eddie Shorer and Opel Barnes each advancing five spots.

1/31/2009
After four races the top two positions remain the same. Terry De Los Santos reslots Bob Scott into fourth. And JR Ewing jumps into sixth.

1/17/2009
Overall standings for the 2009 OTHG Championship begin the year with five of last year's top six ranked drivers filling the top six spots. Bob Scott showed up to once again prove his worth and also landed in the top ranks. With two races run, the standings are Michael Smalley in first, Daniel Snipes ad Bob Scott tied for second, Terry De Los Santos fourth, and Stephen Farr-Jones and Craig Williamson taking up where they left off last year with a tie for fifth. Seventh through ninth suggests a tight contest this year between seasoned and upcoming drivers in Chris Chan, Eddie Shorer, Thomas Lauffenberger, Gary Woods and Bill Schniedewind. A great group of series regulars complete the chart.
