11/28/2009 The 2009 OTHG 3-Hour Endurance Team Championship was completed with a night race at Farrout Raceway that was run partially in the dark. The track was mostly visible only from the illumination of the lights installed into the Slot.it cars. This created a huge challenge for the drivers and an even greater challenge for the marshals. This extraordinary race produced an extraordinary result, with Nigel Rick falling from his year long lead in the series all the way to fifth overall.
With the lights on and the scores tallied, rookie driver Christophe Deluy is the 2009 OTHG Team Champion, with three wins. He is followed by JR Ewing in second, Stan Smith and Eddie Shorer tied for third. Your author, Craig Williamson, ended up tied with Nigel for fifth. Terry De Los Santos, Ed Beer, Opel Barnes and Chris Chan complete the top ten. Nigel was the only other driver with three win for the year and I fell his pain in seeing how two lower finshes reduced his average score, giving Christophe the win.

9/5/2009 Nigel Rick remains the leader of the 2009 OTHG 3-Hour Team Championship. With just one race remaining only drivers with two wins have a chance to catch him, but it will take another win to do it. Everyone needs to especially worry about Christophe with 2 wins. One more win would give him an unbeatable perfect score.
With one race remaining the top-six are Nigel in first, JR Ewing holding second, Eddie Shorer lurking in third, Stan Smith lying fourth, Terry De Los Santos and Ed Beer tied for fifth.
The final team race of 2009 will be a Slot.it race at Stephen's on Nov. 21.
