With four wins and two seconds across all six OTHG racing classes, Michael Smalley is the 2008 OTHG Driver's Champion with a convincing 1.6 point lead over Chris Radisich, who finished second. Chris had a race win in the Ninco GT-1 race held at Chris Chan's. Daniel Snipes ends in third with a race win captured at Nigel's in the Slot-It class. Both defeats for Michael came in the two July races. Lucky for us it seems he may have a bad month now and then.
Terry De Los Santos was a clear fourth, with loaner car regular, Thomas Lauffenberger, leaping to fifth, just clear of Nigel Rick with an impressive finish in sixth. While missing the last race, Craig Williamson, gets booted from sixth to ninth. Ouch, that's me! Chris Chan falls from sixth to tenth. Gary Woods is also removed from the top-six, going from fifth to seventh. Fifth through tenth spot is covered by just over one point. How many drivers can we fit inside of one point next year?
In the OTHG Driver's Championship, one single car for each lane was raced by every driver in the race, placing the emphasis on driver's skill and luck, not car preparation. The four loaner cars for each race were genorously provided and expertly prepared by Michael Smalley and others. One race was held for each of the club's six classes.

With just one race remaining in the OTHG Driver's Championship, the top five positions remain unchanged. Position six however is now a three-way tie between Craig Williamson, Chris Chan and Nigel Rick. Gary Woods is also very close to Terry De Los Santos in points for fourth place. The final race will be run Oct. 4 at Stephen's Farrout Raceway.

With adjusted scoring taking affect in the OTHG Driver's Championship, Rene Cortez and Bob Scott are removed from the top six and replaced by Gary Woods and Chris Chan. Michael Smalley remains atop the chart, but is now followed by Chris Radisich, with Daniel Snipes falling to third. Terry de los Santos is now firmly in fourth, followed by Woods and Chan.

If you're looking for a list of the best drivers in the OTHG Slot Racing Club this may be it. After only three races, the 2008 OTHG Drivers Championship seems to be stringing out the drivers in order with just a few arguable exceptions.
Michael Smalley leads Daniel Snipes followed by Chris Radsich. Next we find Rene Cortez, Bob Scott and Terry De Los Santos. If I were going to make a short list of drivers I don't want to see at the races, this might be it.
Of course I'm just kidding. Just like any of the members, we're always glad to race with them, even if they are so darned quick. Congratulations guys.

Michael Smalley holds his lead in the 2008 Driver's Championship, with two wins, while Daniel Snipes in second has two silvers for the two races run. Rene Cortez adds himself to the top-six list in fourth behind Chris Radisich. Bob Scott and Terry De Los Santos are now tied for fifth.

The new Driver's Championship is off to a high traction start after the 4WD race. Michael Smalley leads over Daniel Snipes and Chris Radisich.
