Nigel Rick's Nigelstone
The Parma controllers, paired with a slick Nigelstone track, made for difficult racing. When the dust settled (literally), Daniel Snipes took away another victory, with Mike Smalley second and Bob Scott also making the podium. One unusual phenomenon -- eight (count 'em, eight) drivers, ranking from fifth to twelfth (that would be me, Thomas, darn it) finished within 1.1 laps of each other top to bottom. (If only, right?) Positions below were more spaced out.

Nigelstone
Daniel took the victory in his very last heat with a great 22.4 lap run on Green for his 4th straight win in the F1 class! Michael came second by only the difference between him and Daniel on Yellow lane where Michael had a couple of issues during his heat. Gary did great to come 3rd and Bob Scott took Michael’s loaner cars to a great 4th place. Stephen had a consistent run to 5th and then the fun stuff starts. Separated by 8/10ths of a lap were Tim N 6th, Bill 7th, John 8th, Thomas 9th, and Craig 10th.

Farrout Raceway
The results of the first F1 of 2007 race make clear one thing: be careful top dogs because there's a big pack of wolves nipping at your heels. Enduring the cold weather Daniel Snipes was top dog this night by one lap over Michael Smalley, who bested Chris Radisich and host Stephen Farr-Jones to fill the top four spots. Despite the absence of many fine club racers, the mid-pack was very tight with 5th through 9th all within 8 tenths of a lap. Bob Beck led the wolf pack for a fine 5th place. There were very few deslots on Stephen's difficult track, Bill Polakow's flight into the trees excepted. With several of the loaner car drivers filling the top ten it is obvious the competition level is rising. Congratulations to all for some very fine driving.
