2005 RANKING
AND POINTS STRUCTURE
The
Points system will continue to be 20, 18, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 for positions
1 through 18 per round for each race run, with 3hr races counting double points .
We will
continue to have minimum races to qualify for a ranking (3 per class and 18 for the overall championship) as well as allowing
people to drop their worst performances above 5 races per class and 30 in the Overall Championship.
To help
make it easier to see where people really stand relative to each other the rankings will be presented as an average of 3 races
or, once you have done more than 3 races, the average of the races you have actually run. We are hoping that this way
we can all see where we stand from day one without the need to wait until late in the season to know what the impact of dropped
races are.
