The following is a short description of the 6 classes we will race in 2005.

There is a seperate list of all models/paint schemes available on following pages.

1. SCX 4WD: Runs as is out of the box, non-magnet class. 

Eligible Cars: All SCX 4WD gear driven cars from 1991 to 2005 using an RX-4 or RX-41 engine (except Porsche 959, Bugatti EB110, Audi 90 Quattro).  Also eligible is any plastic or resin bodied period rally car running on a SCX 4WD chassis/drive-train/wheel/tire combination from the list below.   If fitted with magnet they need to be removed.  There are 9 body styles currently in production and available at local stores, with a further 6 that are no longer in production and available at internet specialist stores.

SCX 4WD cars currently in production are all:

2. SCX F1 1970/80's: Runs as is out of the box, non-magnet class.

Eligible Cars: All SCX F1 cars from 1973 to 1997 using an RX-4 or RX-41 engine.  Also eligible are any plastic or resin bodied period F1 car running on one of the below SCX F1 chassis/drive-train/wheel/tire combination.  These cars are no longer in production but can be sourced from internet retailers and eBay.  SCX F1 cars are:

3. SCX 2WD: Runs as is out of the box, non-magnet class. 

Eligible Cars: All SCX F1 cars from 1975 to 1999 using an RX-4 or RX-41 engine.  Also eligible is any plastic or resin bodied rally/touring car running on a SCX 2WD chassis/drive-train/wheel/tire combination from the list below. These cars are no longer in production but can be sourced from internet retailers and eBay. SCX 2WD cars are:

4. Ninco Le Mans: Runs as is with NC-1 motor/500 Gauss bar magnet. 

Eligible cars are any Ninco Le Mans racer from 1996 – 2004.  Also eligible are any plastic or resin bodied period Le Mans car running on one of the below Ninco Le Mans chassis/drive-train/ wheel/tire combination.  Note that the BMW V12 and Mercedes CLK GTR can only be run if the engine is replaced with an NC-1 engine and the 1500 gauss round magnet is replaced by a 500 gauss Bar magnet.  Engine brackets to convert from NC-2/3/4/5 to NC-1 are available.  Same goes for any Ferrari, Porsche or McLaren with NC-2/round magnet chassis.  See also Motors Used In Our Race Classes   These cars are no longer in production with NC-1 motors but new cars with NC-2/NC-5 motors can be sourced from internet retailers and eBay and converted back to NC-1’s.  Le Mans Ninco cars are:

 5. Ninco German Touring Cars (DTM):  Runs as is out of the box, non-magnet class. 

Eligible are any Ninco DTM car from 1994 – 1998, using NC-1 motor and no magnet. Also eligible are any plastic or resin bodied period Touring car running on one of the below Ninco chassis/ drive-train/ wheel/ tire combinations.  Note these are 1990’s DTM cars not the current DTM’s available from Ninco (Mercedes CLK/ Audi TT/ Opel Astra).   These cars are no longer in production but can be sourced from internet retailers and eBay. DTM cars are all versions of:

6. Magnet: For 2005 this will consist of 4 car classes each raced twice.  Cars run as is from the box.

Ninco Go-Karts:  Any Ninco Go-Kart from 2000 - 2002

Scalextric Trans Am: Any Ford Boss Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Corvette.  Also eligible is any period plastic or resin bodied Trans Am car running on a chassis/ drive-train/ wheel/ tire combination from the above list.

Ninco/SCX/Scalextric/Carrera Modern F1: Any Modern F1 or IRL open-wheeler racecar from any of the 4 manufacturers.

Fly/Scalextric/Spirit/Racer Classic Le Mans 1960/70's: Runs with all items standard.  Also eligible are any period plastic or resin bodied Le mans car running on a chassis/ drive-train/ wheel/ tire combination from the below list. Classic Le Mans are all:
